Tower of Dreams
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Climb your way to the top of the tower in this vertical platformer roguelike! Take up the helm of Dream Knight, and use your sword to pogo off enemies and obstacles as you make your ascent. Discover powerful items that will greatly aid you in your quest, and unlock permanent upgrades as well as cosmetics between runs. No two attempts up the tower will be the same, with a random selection of hand-crafted levels, side areas, and items.

Saw Reto played your game, so I checked it out! It’s really solid so far. Definitely think it’d be more enjoyable if the player hitbox were smaller, right now I think it’s bigger than the sprite? Often getting hit by things that visually aren’t touching, getting sucked into pipes from what feels like far away, stuck wall jumping when I’m not meaning to, etc..
It's a really good game, kinda starting to speedrun it. Oh! btw I found something interesting I could do.

I have a feeling I know the exploit you're talking about and if so definitely not gonna remove it, way too fun.

Sure did! Overall I thought it was pretty great, weather is awful though and the campus definitely lacks a lot of diversity. I learned a lot during my time in the game design program, although some classes werecertainly a little better/more useful than others. What are you looking to major in? Also if you’d like to have a larger conversation about this my discord is supercitrus, would love to answer any questions you have!
By the way, there are some possible bugs with the layering stuff, for example when in the lobby you use the wax wings when in front of the shop, the wings are actually behind the shop for some reason. Maybe it's because there's a limited number of layers coded, but just thought you should know.
Hey thanks for the heads up, tbh I noticed that a few weeks ago and just haven't gotten around to fixing it, definitely not a technical limitation haha. Gonna address it before the final release.
Played it during the SAGE 2023, it's really awesome. The controls are really nice, the mechanics and level design are great, the art is cute and i love the musics. I love it!

I didn't get a good glance of how that jumper-switching mechanic works. Like what does it mean when a jumper becomes transparent? I still can pogo-jump on it, so what's the difference? And sometimes it was just impossible to pogo a jumper which is not transparent. I was a bit frustrated at those moments
Hey glad you liked it! That sounds like a bug, if the bumper is transparent you shouldn't be able to touch it and vice versa, sorry you ran into issues. I'll look into fixing that next patch.

I had that problem too a while ago, but it seems to be working now!
